ULT offers its updated app, a calculator for determining air speed in pipelines at certain volume flows. The app, compatible with the latest iOS version 14.7.x., is available for download free of charge from the Apple App Store from now on.
The ULT app is a simple and effective tool that supports technicians and planners with an initial assessment of the required extraction and filtration technology on site. In addition, designers can use it to obtain rough interpretations of the pipeline requirements to be expected.
The app calculates the air speed from the user information on the pipe diameter and volume flow. In addition, the application suggests a suitable product for the respective extraction situation. Furthermore, the ULT app can calculate the necessary extraction performance from the pressure losses in a system.
Further contents of the ULT calculator include, among others, the specification of the pressure loss per meter of pipeline, the calculation of the required energy expenditure and the air heating for a given pressure loss, the calculation of the energy required for heating or cooling the air as well as the conversion from Pascal to mbar.
